Health Professions Grant Fund, Inc. is a non-profit 501(c)3 corporation.

HPGF is a public health organization facilitating opportunities for health professionals and non-medical personnel to serve impoverished regions nationally and internationally. Since 2018, HPGF personnel have led or joined mission teams serving in the United States, Mexico, Guatemala, Israel, Kenya, Costa Rica, Jamaica, and Belize to facilitate health education, feeding programs, and lifestyle management.

HPGF takes a holistic approach, addressing the physical, mental, and spiritual aspects of health. Accordingly, HPGF purchases books and materials in English and Spanish to train leaders in third-world countries and age-appropriate material to distribute to all age groups in the family.

It is typical to bring food to outreaches and things for the children when funds are available. HPGF has assisted in building feeding and community centers through matching fund challenges.

When partnering with medical teams, this is the best of both worlds. Individuals receive medical care and have home instructions to follow up with. HPGF trains support staff on how to assist medical personnel, give patient instructions through translation, and teach hygiene and exercises. The caveat of public health education is that when teams go home, individuals are empowered to take responsibility for their health.

HPGF offers educational grants to individuals seeking higher education to improve opportunities when serving in remote or impoverished areas. Additionally, one may apply for financial assistance to serve in mission endeavors.
